What is the Georgia Promise Scholarship?
This program empowers families to pursue high-quality education through private schooling, home study, and tutoring services if zoned to a low performing public school.
Eligibility Requirements
Residency:
Must have lived in Georgia for at least one year (exceptions for active-duty military). |
Attendance Zone:
Zoned to a low-performing public school as identified by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. |
Enrollment:
Currently enrolled in a Georgia public school (2024-25) or entering kindergarten. |

Award DetailsMaximum Amount: Up to $6,500 per student per year.
Disbursement: Funds will be distributed quarterly into a student’s education savings account. Families direct payments to approved vendors. |
