What is school choice?

What exactly does "school choice" mean? The term "school choice" refers to the various educational pathways students can take from K-12. Most parents still select their schools by purchasing a home in the district they want their children to attend. Still, parents' decisions regarding their children's education are becoming increasingly diverse in Georgia because of increased school choice options, such as charter schools, public school transfers, Tax Credit and SB10 Special Needs Scholarships.
